I work in Germany. Germany is really employee friendly and there are strict laws about companies letting go of their employees. While I have known atleast two people who were let go after the initial 6 months called probation, it seems like its pretty much impossible to be fired after the probationary period unless you do something drastic like stealing from the company or harassment. The same was told to me by my skip level manager as well.
My question is how does this work with Amazon's pip-ing policies? If you can't fire people in EU, will they still stack rank EU employees? And Amazon has been hiring like crazy across EU lately.
