how do I tell my boss that someone I am working with is difficult to work with without sounding like an ass? obviously I’m probably going to sound like an ass regardless but I’m trying to find a way to say it and sound like the least bit assy. i’m a pretty direct person and if I think you’re a dickhead I’m going to tell you that you’re a fucking dickhead. But I’ve gotten some flack in the past about that so… I want to try and take a different approach this time.
Always direct approach bro
Tell facts and not opinions
Don't say they are difficult. Just talk about what exactly happened.
😄
I hope you're performing better than this person
Tell your boss about the situations/examples and how you were let down or disappointed. Don't give your boss opinions about the nature of the target.
Ask for advice in how to handle recent episodes with the person (describe them in detail). It'll deliver the message and make you look like a team player.
You dont. There is no win and a high chance it will reflect badly on you. You are supposed to work around the situation and get problems solved on your own. In short you don't say they are difficult to work with. You highlight the problems and give examples of how you overcame or tried to work around it. The idea is to highlight the issues indirectly, and show youve tried solutions on your own
