any insight? comparable to Uber?
Meant TC wise

They really should though. If they actually believe in the product they sell
they told me it was an option. @flightless it’s up to the employees own risk profile
Only data point I have is a friend: L4 equivalent 160 base, 10k signing, 40 pre-IPO equity. No EOY bonus. This is about 1 year old data.
That’s rough. Sap or Walmart pays more
Sap doesn't even remotely pay close to that for even senior engineering levels. Sap Palo Alto pays 130k tc to it's senior engineers. Go figure.
Thats ugly
Coinbase is not a good company! I would stay at Uber
We pay very well for a company our size. Take one look at the employees who have joined in the past 2 years. Heavily skewed towards people from traditional top tier consumer tech companies. Why would they leave their cushy jobs at FAANG-esque companies if we didn’t. Very few companies can offer the cash that we do with the tremendous upside in equity. We are valued at $8B and have been profitable for years. Anybody who uses words like “shady” to describe Coinbase clearly doesn’t understand anything and just says so because it’s contrarian to not be into crypto. We just hired the VP of Product from Google Shopping as our CPO.
Or they understand that Coinbase doesn’t understand financial conflict of interest
That’s great to know. I interviewed at Coinbase last year in the old SF office but didn’t get offer after on-site. Unlike last year, I don’t see many backend positions open at the moment. Any idea when requisitions will be open?
