BREAKING: Internal sources confirm another round of layoffs just hit emails at Tesla. For real.
A very good firm. One of the big names in a few areas of prop trading such as options trading and also ETF arb. They're fairly old by prop trading standards (30years or so) so have a pretty large established presence in what they do. Eg, one of first to really trade options systematically. Solid pay, but not the absolute top dollar in quant finance. I know some traders who've mentioned that it sometimes feels like day to day can be boring, because they've solved lots of the problems they would want to already. May be different on the quant side, as that is more research focused. They expand into a bit of everything. I know they do sports betting too for example. Culture seems good overall. They have a training schtick of poker as trading lessons and have a few WSOP bracelet winners
Any idea how much do they pay for a quant research person? And what's the advantage there over faang/ regular tech?
I do not know research pay there. First/second year trader pay is low 200s
