Overtime is not exponential, linear isn’t it?
If you go by contractor pay scales, yes. Personally, employers get a grace period of about a week or two, but if hours go beyond the usual 40 consistently, that's a time for me to bring up pay and expectations with my employer. (Also, salaried people generally don't get overtime.)
