Life lessons..

Don't care for money.. How much is your TC? What are your company benefits ? What is the cost of living in your location? How much is your savings?

These question simply reflect your greed for unending want (PS: this will never end even if you get your dream tc) . I am talking about most of the people.. Though some people are there who are really in need of money for survival.. To them , please excuse me!!!

Try to be contented.. Enjoy what you do..Jump ships not for chasing high TC but if you really like the work.. If you think the new work will make your life more enjoyable.. What if company has less benefits peek into your mind and check "Are you providing yourself the benefit of being Happy"

I am still in the learning process of how life works but I came to know this thing that we r into fake chase.. Forgetting about today thinking of tomorrow which may never come.
Definitely you all know tomorrow is not a problem for you people.. All of you have savings that can lead you to a happy and contented life. But still we are chasing TC for accumulating as much as wealth we can which we will never use.

Think carefully .. Life is one.. Do something you like.. Not to please others.. Please yourself.
Such that at the end of this journey you can look back and think
"Yes I made most out of it. Thanks God for everything!!"

  • Life became a lot easier after my TC tripled. It allows me to retire early and focus on the non money stuff more.

Nobody retires early.. You will retire the day you will leave this world.. Before that you will just switch roles in life.
Sometime a Son.. Some time a husband.. Sometime a Father etc.
In the same way you will switch role in job.. Some time you will be Software engineer.. Sometime you will be a financial planner.. But still if you do not clear your mind setup from now that money is nothing.. This thing will lure you till the last day of your life.

You are basically saying that chasing TC == being greedy.

You can believe it of course but the reality is that we are living in an incredibly individualistic and unpredictable world where low TC puts you at the mercy of many dangers and is reducing your freedom of action. High TC protects your family and their general well-being. You should earn as much as you can and be smart about it, i.e: not sacrificing mental or physical health for high TC

  • There’s nothing such as “liking the work”. If that’s what you’re after, you’ll get disappointed. 99% of places don’t have work that’ll interest you 😂😂. It’s a moot datapoint.

That is why you should look at the market, how much you’re worth and chase the companies that see your worth and are willing to pay you just as much.

Company benefits are super important. In a world that’s increasingly changing for the worst, those benefits will keep your head above water and help you perform your job somewhat. Cost of living is also really important…..not only for stability but for the survivability of your kids. Savings too…….

Buddy, you’re so wrong (no offense mate, I respect your opinion).

Thanks my friend.. We might have different opinion and I am happy to keep mine. At the same time I respect yours.
Enjoy life in the way you think it can be enjoyed. 😊

    • @1stworldkid, I think you can find the work you like. I do agree with you, company benefits are important. Also what I think OP means is, there comes a point where your tc is high and there is no point in going higher, at that point you are being greedy.
