Wait Iβm already home. π€
Flagged by the community.
When WFH started, my wife and I both dressed in work-like clothes on purpose because we each like the other one's work wear and don't normally get to see it much. And we went out for lunch in our own neighborhood; it was fun!
I wore her favorite tie and a dress shirt that she likes; she wore a skirt with beige stockings that she mostly only wears when going out. Now at the height of summer we're mostly wearing T-shirts and shorts while WFH but it was a lot of fun to feel like we had teleported from work to home just for the lunch outing.
I'm looking at all these comments by so called "professionals" boasting about how they come to work with just their socks and glasses, and it makes my stomach turn.
I'm tired of these IDE Barbarians and Codebase Lumberjacks filthying the good name of proper software developers everywhere.
I plan on retaining my seniority if I land in FAANG.
here in the bay area people start looking sideways at you if youβre dressier than short sleeves and jeans
