Recently a recruiter from DE Shaw connected on LinkedIn regarding an opportunity based out of Hyderabad.
Just wanted to know whether it makes sense to interview over there. How's the work culture and TC compared to FAANG? Also, is engineering considered a second class citizen over there? Any info related to DE Shaw will be really helpful.
Current TC - 55L
YOE - 3.25

DE Shaw is definitely gonna pay more than that for sure, but damn, that TC
Work culture is like a bank as you can expect. I.e. dictated from NY.
TC will be similar to or more than Uber.
Doesn't make much sense to interview or go there IMHO.
Outdated tech stack. No WLB. Not much interesting technical challenges.
