EB1 with startup

Apr 12 7 Comments

I have an idea for a startup which I have been working on for a year. Im planning to get a LLC registered with the business name. I’m currently in h1b how do I leverage startup details to qualify for a green card. Does being a startup founder qualify for EB1 category? Or does it have to o with funding from VCs. Has anyone taken this route ?

Make sure your LLC is not registered in your social security. Republic is a great place to market and get funding too. That’s how I found my job lol.

Republic.com is where you can get funding from other people. It’s is a form of crowdfunding and has its cons but look into it

Nah, your chances are very slim. I’ve been on the same boat, not founder but a founding engineer. All lawyers I talk to asking for papers and citations. They didn’t care about the fund we raised for my product, client testimonials was not considered either. You have to have papers and citations unfortunately

If you can get the investors, EB5 might be the way to go assuming your startup has potential to create 10 jobs.
