Hi,
I am currently interviewing with Amazon for BIE and waiting for the decision on the second phone interview with the Manager and it’s been 2 days (next should be the loop). There was 2 weeks gap between the first and this interview due to the long weekend.
I have heard many instances where they simply mention that the position is filled in the middle of the recruitment process.
If that happens in my case, what can I do to still have a chance at Amazon?
I do not want to go through the process all over again as I’d taken PTOs to do them.
Please let me know your views on this.
Thanks!

They will also shop you around if you make it through an on-site with positive overall feedback but maybe you weren’t right for the team. They will find other teams for you to talk to. You may need just another phone screen if you make it through a loop.
If the team is inclined on you that decision is independent of the role still being available (although obviously a debrief may be biased if all know this).
Recycling a candidate is highly team dependent, if it’s a near adjacent team who can trust the people on your first loop- they may just extend an offer.
Others may require a phone screen and full loop again if it’s an entirely different team/recruiter.
If you have an opportunity to quickly do an on-site after the phone screen you should prioritize this to avoid the risk of it being filled.
Check with your recruiter and good luck!
