Healthcare is a road to being under skilled. Go to an actual tech company... When the product isn't technology, the processes normally are trash. You can do better op

It is AWS and react native if this is for the consumer focused tools. Definitely something to consider - not as bad as some of our incompetent competition

Okay - cigna new policy is that they share ranges. So i would think about that. I think top of range might be 190 if they are going with 165k

Also from my experience cigna recruiters like to under offer and talk about how much money they saved. So never take the first one ;)

They definitely won’t withdrawal the offer if you ask for sign-on and 180k and you may get 170k

If you already got them to come up disregard (i don’t know personally sign on policy but not joining so late in year blah blah prorated bonus)

BTW i don’t think they can lie about the range

I think a real concern is future comp. They will drag you down percent (2% for example ) due to where you are in range. It’s hard to get someone who joins mid-year promoted

Yeah ask high, and a sign on bonus.

Don’t count on EOY reviews for significant comp adjustments, it’s more about the bonus.

As soon as you’ve established yourself and are contributing at a high level, start advocating for additional comp, because the process will take a while. Be tactful about the whole thing of course.

  • Thanks guys . Also for the bonus , is it 100% payout every year ? Does it ever get close to 150 or so ? The HR said that some folks consistently get 120-130% ? True ?

Varies wildly depending on your performance, group, and leadership. But yes, if you’re good and everyone knows it, you will get above 100%. I’ve been given between 120% and 190% every year.
