Gave an interview at Apple IS&T and received positive feedback with signs of an offer.

Currently working at Cisco with 4 years experience 135k base + 100k RSU + 15% bonus

P.S. Both are SWE roles

While some reviews are true about IS&T, it is still very dependent on the team. IS&T has many great teams and definitely are cutting-edge. For example, all purchases and orders go through IS&T payment team. Cant reveal any specific number, but the scale there is probably unheard of in many big companies in Bay Area. IdMS is no doubt the biggest app at Apple. Nonetheless, it is true that some teams have a lot of contractors. But that’s not only in IS&T. It is the same in Eddy’s org. I have been at both orgs.

Most reviews are true, work is not cutting edge, not good managers

Most if the team is Indian and if u’re non Indian u’ll find it tough

Transfer to Core Apple SWE is next to impossible

Are you working there or experienced it before or just heard about it inside the company ? My concern is whether its better than my current job at Cisco in terms of pay and WLB. I have a great WLB currently and the project I am working on is not that great

Apple IS&T is the IT division of Apple and the work is definitely not cutting edge plus the bar is low there. Also check for the reviews in Glassdoor and quora. It sux. Most of the people are consultants from indian IT companies there and it’s also hard to shift to IS and S at Apple
