iCloud org at Apple for new grad

Aug 20, 2018 18 Comments

I’m a new grad and have gotten a verbal offer from the iCloud team at Apple. The recruiter said I would be placed as a “high ICT3” but would not give me initial offer figures. He said that when I’m ready I should send him figures of all other offers and he’ll “definitely get back with a better offer” and said it’ll “beat Google or FB”.

How is this org’s reputation at Apple? I currently have an offer from FB (entry-level E3, 115k+150k+75k). Any advise on which offer I should accept?

iCloud is not like other orgs in Apple. Very good work-life balance and RSU refresh. Based on your FB offer, I guess 120k+160k+50k.

FB seems like a great place to be if you’re young. Apple is definitely an old ship and it definitely reflects with how disciplined (cheap) they are with promotions and perks.

Apple has great old guy perks, such as the after tax 401k. They also have a generous ESPP plan and education reimbursement. Promo is slow though.

I'm only speaking because one of my close friends got an offer from Apple. He says he likes the work but he has to work more than his friends at different companies often. But I don't know the team, so I don't know 100%
