I have an offer to join Twitter as an MLE in the Search & Recommendations team in London. I recently joined Bloomberg London as a SWE, but I'm not doing ML/AI work.
I have experience in AI research, and the team & role are more exciting than what I currently do, which is why I'm seriously considering it.
However, I don't know how Twitter will fare in the long term. Advertising revenue took a hit with the pandemic, and they missed on user growth in the last quarter. Not sure how that will translate in the future, but I'm a bit worried about it. Bloomberg on the other hand feels safer: they kept hiring throughout the pandemic and their revenue streams seem more stable.
Would be interested in some thoughts. Thanks!
Edit:
YOE: 1.5
TC: Bloomberg - 75k (private -> no equity), Twitter: 65k + $100k equity.
