Should I negotiate? Model Based Tools Engineer?

4d 3 Comments

I received an offer from GM for a full remote position. They met me at the higher end of what I was asking right away. I have one more offer from Stellantis that I am thinking will be closer, if not higher. I would mostly accept the offer from GM but if Stellantis offers me more than GM, Should I negotiate the GM offer?

Worked at Stellantis and now at GM. Definitely take the job offer from GM, you will be happier in the long run. Stellantis work pressure is more, lots of favoritism!!

Yeah GM. Stellantis has done lots of layoffs, forced retirements since the merger. European influence is high. They don't know what they want. We had 2 re orgs and they made it back, to original org structure the 3rd time. They said they are waiting on more information to re org 4th time. Short staffed everywhere. Many are doing 2-3 people's jobs. Stellantis always pays less than GM. They may beat GM now but over the years GM raises will be more. Stellantis does not give raises like GM
