Anyone having used or analysed both care to comment ?
pc tried to sell me an equal weighted s&p 500 portfolio basically and their charged rate is much higher than an equivalent etf. they do offer some additional services but I’m not that sophisticated an investor and didn’t see much value in those.
I have a PC account. I got 17+% returns last year. It has been flat this year (up by less than 1%). All of this is after fees. I can see some benefit from tax loss harvesting. I don’t think the service is worth the fees though. My other stock investments have done better during this time. I don’t have enough experience with their service yet to say if their rebalancing method protects against recession or softness in one sector compared to my own investments (which would be very volatile under such scenarios).
What about now ?
The first 10k (or 15k?) you have under Wealthfront has no management fee. Why don't you just try it out?
Wealthfront no longer provides 10k managed free for new users signed up after April 1, 2018, though 5k referral bonus still exists. Existing users get grandfathered anyway. OP please find a referral link online and get 5k managed for free.

Why Worshipping Lord Ram Important in Hinduism?
Wealthfront am testing a small account there. Returns are pretty much non existent. My other investments during the same have done a good 8-10%. I think these robo guys are going ultra conservative. Experienced the same with blooom. It put 0% in the tech sector :) personal capital gives a nice story but it’s all just gimics. Haven’t gone with them.
How long have you been investing with Wealthfront? Does it allow to choose the level of risk in your investments? Would like to know returns so far this year. PC has been pretty flat this year although I have opted for a high growth strategy (slightly lower volatility than an all stock portfolio).
