@amazon Google has better wlb, so they will take a bit longer than yall to reach profitability ๐Ÿ˜€

Personally I continue to remain bullish on Microsoft than both of these platforms, and I think they may be on track to surpass AWS eventually

With their privacy track record. No company is going to run there stuff there.

    Thatโ€™s a good one. ๐Ÿคฃ

I think Oracle Cloud would have better market penetration than they would. H3ll I would run on AliCloud before I would run on any Facebook cloud.

Thereโ€™s enough cloud diversity in the cloud. You currently have 6 options.

    You have:
    AWS (leader)
    Azure (number 2)
    GCP (number 3)
    Oracle Cloud - OCI
    IBM Soft Layer
    AliCloud

I worked on the Infra team with capacity planning. With the projected growth of FB users, we were supposed to hit capacity with existing Infra on 2024. We had several ongoing programs to make our current infrastructure and services more efficient because we couldn't build data centers fast enough (they take a ton of planning and there weren't actually enough people to build them - Amazon, Google and MSFT do the same thing). Not just this but power is the biggest constraint for datacenter capacity (all these companies going green are not doing it from the goodness of their heart). Effectively, there's not enough power on the US power grid to make them resilient and fault tolerant. So in short, it's a no.
