ict3 vs ict4 at Apple
how to decide whether you are an ict3 or ict4 at apple ? yoe- 4 years masters from top engineering school i have an offer from Apple for ict3 and i know the team really likes me. Can i negotiate for ict4 if i have another offer ?

Got ICT4 when I had 4 yoe only (at FANG). No masters or PhD. Bachelor's from a no-name state uni. Ask for it.
The best strategy is to push your comp as high as possible but not necessary the level. Your next major TC jump after join will be promotion RSU (unless you go somewhere else) if you already join as ict4 you gonna stuck there for a long time. The best case for you is join as ICT3 and get promoted on the next review period. There’s risk that you won’t get promoted, but it really depends on how good you are...
