Boss said I'd most likely be let go, what are my options
I'm an L4 SDE, at amazon since about a year and few months, currently on STEM OPT, and this will be the last H1B filing for me. Manager said my last years performance hasn't been up to the mark, and indirectly said to find a new job. At this point I'm just broken, my hands and feet are numb. If I knew about this even a couple of months before I would at least start preparing for interviews elsewhere but now I'm just panicking.
Went through a patch of major anxiety last year already with panic attacks, and I'm feeling they might relapse.
Haven't been active on Leetcode, so I'll need a bit of time to even get ready for interviews. I believe there is a 60 day unemployment period for STEM OPT, but I'm pretty sure that isn't enough. I used most of the 90 day initial OPT unemployment because COVID hit when I was searching for jobs.
What are honestly my options, do I need to prepare to leave the country, or reason with my manager to keep me for a while till I search for a new job? Any help would honestly be greatly appreciated. #engineering #swe #software

If you could get into Amazon, you could get into Salesforce or MSFT without much prep. You could even go to the likes of Walmart or Visa as a backup plan - they hire everyone who has a pulse.
Panicking at this point is not gonna help anyone. The only mistake he can make is not to try.
If he got into Amazon through cheating, then the interesting question is- βwho is the victim hereβ or is there one ?
