Just gave an interview for indeed through karat, we had audio and video issues. Finished first problem and 80% of second . Was unable to run he code it had a couple of compilation issues but worked. Interviewer said his feedback was I took time to understand question. , obviously due to audio issues He said he is going to make a note . I have a redo option and they will send both feedbacks to indeed. Just wondering if I should do a redo or simply wait for the result ? Any suggestions please let me know , I have less than 24 hours to make a choice
Karat and TripleByte are a No No for me either. An interview is a two-way street. I won't know shit about the company where I should have the opportunity to choose whether I want to work or not. Take it Again, but no Karat.
I would take it again if you had audio issues. Isn't that the entire point of that option? I had a good experience with Karat personally.
Retake, always test connectivity via https://test.webrtc.org not the original platform
Indeed usually requires runnable code from karat interviews for at least 2 questions. But, be it Karat or regular online interviews, if you have audio/video issues, unfortunately I won't be able to judge you better.
I hate that we use Karat. I'd do it again. Sorry.
Take it again if you still can.
I've heard mostly positive things from candidates in my experience using Karat. You get a free Redo and you get a live person to clarify questions. It's also frees up engineering time so they're not stuck doing technical phones screens all day.
Outsource onsite too may be india .
No, we don't outsource our onsite. It's possible someone interviewed remotely with other Indeed engineers, though. That can occur at newer offices.
We don't outsource our on-site interview.
Just wait our shit breaks all the time so we are likely understanding
Karat is worst platform and their engineers . I don’t know why you want to work for company which they outsource phone interviews and their interview process .Stay away from Karat . And outsourcing is not free and somebody need to monitor results so resources will be required at indeed side so why don’t they do interviews. Ask recruiter
We do track karat results but it’s a big difference between someone tracking this and running this project vs hiring more sr engineers, have them be here a while, train them up with shadowing and reverse shadow, then ready to take phone screens. We’re just behind on getting people calibrated because we were more focused on hiring. At least in my site we’re training up a lot more people so we can more in house. But we have both people running with karat and site leads all talking about this all the time and monitoring results.
Also questionable / borderline results from karat we have engineering leaders review.
