Apparently they are a pretty successful startup working on a cool set of services (I like infra more than consumer facing stuff) but they have been recently acquired by Cisco. I'm still going to have my first interview with them but was wondering if anyone could give their perspective about how is it to work there. Has the Cisco acquisition changed anything?

    Why ? Seriously how u even get this thought of moving to cisco from google? Is it because u got bored of high salary and reputed company, just want to try how the other side of spectrum look like?

    Are you going to interview for software engineering roles or for management roles? For an IC role the bad reviews on blind/glassdoor are quite real. I am curious too though what interests you about Thousandeyes? We are still developing our infra :)

      Work at Google has been mostly changing configs of legacy infra and spending endless hours in meetings and writing docs for any simple "hello world" you want to work on. I'm looking for something where I can actually build something in a reasonable pace without having to get approvals from 30 people to add a button to a page.

      What's up with being IC? Bad WLB? "Still developing infra" sounds like something I'd like to be doing.

    From another cisco acquisition a few years ago... Any future career advancement and compensation packages will be limited to what Cisco can offer. WLB is mostly great though.
