Is Netflix still tech company or would you say Content is King and it’s a media studio now? I remember when the recommendations engine was its bread and butter. But now it feels secondary.
Amazon is an online retailer. Google and Facebook are media companies.
Amazon sells 10s (if not hundreds) of tech solutions and those are key revenue generator. Google is same. Static content delivery is not a hard tech problem when AWS has already provided an elastic infra. Disney built it within a year and has 26mil subscribers in just a quarter. It should tell you something
I can build a search engine with open source tools all by myself. You don't call it Google. BTW, Disney bought a company that had a streaming solution.
There’s a ton more to Netflix technology than just recommendations product
No, it’s a media company that really focuses on doing well technically to have a great product/software.
No, it’s a media company with “original content production” as its top priority. Tech is just not important here
Doesn’t matter whether it is a tech company or not. Salary is good, food is good, culture is good and learning something everyday. What else do you need?
Humans have a weakness that they need to think in absolutes. Instead of that, why don’t you read some articles and SEC documents to understand how these companies make and spend money
No, but it is still a high paying company.
Media company that employs innovation technical solutions to produce and deliver that content.
Why does this still matter to so many people? Want to work for a tech company - go to IBM 🤣
