is working at a no name company less stressful? u dont have much experience. but at Amazon i am expected to complete as many tasks as i can. it is pretty stressful. i have done internships at no name companies and the tasks were so easy. i want to switch to a no name company to have that chill life. but can i expect that. i dont want to move and have an even more stressful job.
It's more chill, but you may have many many more bureaucratic barriers
+1
I work for a no-name place, and it’s pretty stressful too. I came here with similar hopes to yours; that I would have a good working experience that wasn’t filled with constant rushing. The opposite was true. My company pays quite poorly, and as such they don’t have many candidates for their roles. This leaves them understaffed in their main office, so what they have done is offshore a lot of dev work to Vietnam and Malaysia. But that’s been introducing its own headaches, and if anything has been putting even more pressure onto the main office (which is understaffed to begin with). So basically everything is rushed, and not properly tested. My company also has a surprising amount of bureaucratic overhead on just about everything, which only adds to the time requirements. I’m sure there are no name places that are chill. What I’m getting at here though is just because the place is a no name doesn’t imply it will be chill. You gotta screen companies in the interview stage for chillness 😅
Why don’t you go to Google or Apple SWE? Pretty good WLB
