Google vs Meta vs Apple vs Amazon
at 29$ seems pretty cheap right now
If you believe it’s worth more than 50B, whereas Lyft is only 11B, sure
Remember UBER is not a software company as everyone assumes. Their profit gross margin is 46%. Typical software companies' gross margin is close to 80%. Don't expect crazy gross as a software company.
Source? Google says their gross profit margin is 8%. Spotify is 25% and Facebook is 85% for comparison.
Use YCharts to get the gross margin. Yes, you made my point. Spotify is not a software company.
Gotta see if more states begin classifying contingent workers as employees Uber’s business is mostly a play on the complete sabotage of labor rights If they fail to succeed at that, they’re toast
I read they actually lose money every time we take a ride
So if you invest, stop taking rides
they lose money when not having a ride too
I’m thinking that even though yeah they are losing money, they are investing a shit load in R&D so if they needed to, they could cut that out and be profitable
I think it's amazon who can turn that tap on and off at will, not uber.
Seems cheap compared to what? The arbitrary IPO price? The massive ass losses by the firm each year?
They need self-driving tech right now. There were high hopes and now that hope is fading.
TBH, as far as I know, Uber is cheaper than taxis. If Uber bumps fees 20%, they would still be competitive and they would avoid burning cash. I think that may happen any minute and a lot of haters would get speechless
Only works if Lyft and other competitors do the same. Many people have both apps and check pricing.
It's not that simple. Price increases leads to imbalance in the market place
It's hard to say but there is no reason it can't be at 20 you lockuo expiration
It did get upgraded to a buy rating, so maybe? But I'm biased
