Stagnant with where I am. Have always been told I’m not fulfilling my potential and more intelligent than I give myself credit. I’ve tried and tried to do better but seems like every door has gotten closed on me before even getting a chance. Was recommended to take the SIE instead of the series 7/63 and 66 in order to pursue a career in finance. Any advice for someone trying to get their foot through their door?#finance

Tech is a better career imo, but if you want a financial credential that demonstrates substantial knowledge and commitment to the field, maybe look into doing the cfa.

The series 7 etc are regulatory exams. They're legally required for certain roles, but I've never even met anyone who failed one, and the job you get might not need it.

I agree with Facebook's comment. As someone with their CFA, I'll note it is an enormous commitment, and you've really gotta want it. Minimum 3 years and 1,000 hours of studying in that time period (I'm not exaggerating). Good luck, but make sure you research CFA thoroughly before throwing your name in.
