San Francisco is heaven on earth

I was stoned in the shower and had a realization about all those posts about SF being a shitty city and the fake-news exodus to shitholes in fucking Texas or whatever.

If you're in software, nowhere else on the planet will give you the opportunity to be surrounded and learn from this insane amount of specialists in their domain, while getting shitfaced on the weekend at Balboa or the Midway and hooking up in the restrooms, rolling on MDMA or 2C-B that were first synthesized in Berkeley, tripping on acid democratized in the Haight, or shrooms bought in Dolores Park on a sunny afternoon with your friends in the most consistently mild weather on the planet.

You'll have all this fun and still get showered with job opportunities, equity and comp that will make you a millionnaire in less than a decade, while embracing your inner hippie as you become a regular burner and grow older into the most empathetic and mindful version of yourself, going on hikes in some of the planet's most awe-inspiring landscapes within a couple hours drive, flying all around the world with non-stop flights to the coolest destinations, and all this in top health thanks some of the best health institutions on the planet.

When you'll want to settle down, you'll suck it up and spend a couple mill on a house, but it won't be some gaudy McMansion from whatever boring-ass suburb. No it'll be a fucking work of art colorful Victorian from a century ago that will give you double digit annual returns for ever.
Your kids will go to some of the best field trips on the planet at world-class museums, be exposed to some of the best, healthiest and diverse food from all around the world, see insane wildlife like coyotes whales or dolphins within city limits, walk and take public transportation to hang out in the most scenic parks and the coolest neighborhoods, embrace the fact that we're a diverse bunch of humans in every way, and have the opportunity to join one of the local world-class education options.
