I have a Reddit technical screen coming up - they sent a CodeSignal link with the invite. The interview is an hour long. If you currently work for Reddit, used to work at Reddit, or interviewed at Reddit, what should I expect during the screen? Any suggestions on what I need to study to prepare? NOTE: This is for a Frontend Engineer position. Thanks ahead of time!

It was a 2D plane question - outputting overlapping objects on a 2D plane. Honestly a little ridiculous

The same here they asked me 4 simple questions GET vs POST,… 1 system design question and then I got that find coordinates of zero rectangles question. I think I had less than 20 min to solve it which I obviously couldn’t do :)

@chegg, I had the exact same question, I solved it and missed an edge case where the rectangle was on the edge of the matrix. The interviewer gave me a very harsh feedback. That position is already filled by a candidate. The interviewers are young college graduates and they use it for practice and give the harshest feedback to fail you. Its a fake interview

Typically it's about 15-20 minute conversational (could include some technical deep dive on your work history), and ~40 minutes pair programming.

What's the backend developer interview process like? Leetcode? Is there a referral program?

Had the interview this week, thought it went well. But the interviewer didn't think so. Got the same question as Capital one mentioned. The interviewer went to tend to his dog in the middle of the interview not to mention he was petting the dog the entire time and seemed clearly disinterested.
