Each resume you send should be customized to the job description. Not saying rewrite it all, but have a “base resume” that you edit.
For example, if your resume says that you have done programming in python, but the job description says “experience with scripting and automation with python”, then literally use the phrase “experienced with scripting and automation with python”
If they use an acronym, then you use the same one. Similarly, if you say “VM” in your resume but they say “virtual machine”, then change yours to match the description
The more lines out of the job description that you can do this with, the better. Obviously don’t lie, but use their words as much as possible. This will get you to the top of any ATS stack
