I told recruiter that I’m expecting an offer from Capital One but now I’m thinking that I should’ve not said it. Do you disclose where you are with interviews?

Why not? Having a competing offer is always better than not having one

    • I think the question is about saying who the offer is from without being asked, not about saying you have a competing offer.

OP, I would have probably just said a financial company. The when they ask for the offer letter for competing numbers, it would probably need to be disclosed

  • I didn’t disclose to Amazon recruiter that I was getting on offer from Google (i said from a competitor), however, I did tell Google recruiter that I’m getting an offer from Amazon. Didn’t make any difference either ways so truly nothing to worry about. You’ve worked hard, enjoy this time and don’t stress about it!

    • They'll make sure to accommodate your timeline if you tell them about your other offers so good move. Saying the company name doesn't matter either way really. They'll assume it's a garbage company if you're tight lipped about it.

Don’t. Especially if it’s a company that pays lower.

  • I don't usually like to mention the company names you're interviewing with unless you get an offer from them. Let them keep wondering to give you a competitive offer. But you'll be fine.
