During conversations I’ve noticed execs or people listen to something and respond with “interesting”. What is implied with this word?

1. What you said is thought provoking or novel They need to think about it further before they come to a conclusion
2. They think the idea is bad but are trying to be nice/not be mean
3. They think you had a good point but it’s not super relevant to the topic at hand so they don’t want to belabor it
For example:
Me: How was your weekend?
Coworker: I spent all weekend leetcoding and calculating my TC! It was great!
Me: ...interesting. Well that’s nice, I gotta go, see ya.
