How does Salesforce structure the compensation in North America region. Does it include stocks/bonus or just base?

For engineers the compensation is typical of tech: a base salary, a target bonus and an RSU grant.

The base salary is usually very high compared to other tech companies, but the RSUs are commensurately lower. Additionally, it's much harder to receive an annual RSU refresh at Salesforce than FAANGs. But the RSUs vest on a 25/25/25/25 yearly schedule.

Target bonuses have tiers based on level, starting at 10% and with each tier increasing by 5%. So a MTS has a target of 10%, an SMTS 15%, a lead 20%, etc.

Also, there are targets (% receiving and median amount) set at each level for RSU refresh. The numbers have probably changed since I last saw them but PMTS target was something like 50% / $60k, Architect 75%/120k. My memory is fuzzy so don't quote those numbers. Grants are discretionary and also take into account your existing grants. For example, when I left, I was only 18 months into a $650k (at the of grant) grant, so I knew i wouldn't see a refresh for a few years.
