Hi, I am a recent graduate and was recently contacted by Atos to apply for this position for entry level application developer - cloud. I don’t know much about the company and how they work internally, would be great if former or current employees could tell me more about the culture, scope for growth, etc. TC: 70k for a year they said would be both training and some real world projects and then promotion which they say will have a good raise #entrylevel #newgradsalary #newgrad
If there is nothing else then sure. I’ve heard about them when solving tech problems in the public sector in the UK. A lot depends on what you’ll do, what software is being used, what are the challenges. FYI If it is public sector then it’ll be painfully slow, would not suggest it in the beginning of career. But there might be something else, like something useful for the future career. Do some research and get some alternative offers.
Just in case anyone searches in the future: I worked at Atos for a long time. I could probably count on two hands the number of employees I saw get promoted during my tenure. Most were replacing some executive they fired / moved around before the new person was themselves fired. Aside from high level employees (which were mostly hired from outside or brought over from Europe), I honestly cannot recall a single instance of someone below a director being promoted. Not one. Now maybe I didn't have full visibility. But I worked across a lot of departments. And for those that did get promoted... LOL. It was almost always at the same rate of pay. Yearly raises are few and far between. And management was what I'd consider toxic during my time there. So, I would be hesitant to recommend a career at Atos. But if you plan to stay for 1-2 years and bounce, then you will probably get to work on a lot of cool stuff you may be insulated from at larger companies.
Promotions do not exist. Super limited growth with lots of red tape.
Can I DM?
