Got an offer from Walmart and speaking with some top companies.
How to evaluate this offer?

Tc - 182k
Base - 140k
Bonus - 20k
RSU - 22k - vested over 4 years and starts from 2021 - which is crazy.

Am I being lowballed?
Fresh grad out of college with a masters degree in CS and prior industry experience of 2 years before masters + a ton of publication record (better than some PhDs)

Well definitely low balled considering mountain view, and if you have a great publication record try other companies where you will be able to get higher I think and a more researchy position.

It's a good offer for Walmart. Why not wait it out and get another offer?

I think it is low balled as the costs in the Bay area is huge.
Additionally, Amazon offers around 120k RSU and that is over 4 year period starting from 2020, not 2021.

So, there is a 100k flat difference in the RSUs itself.
Plus no free food according to Glassdoor at Walmart. All of which comes into the picture as well.

Get competing offers. Tell them you are still interviewing or have other offers. If they like you. They usually will usually negotiate and match the highest one.

Publications - Some through collaboration. Other through individual effort all the way.
