Role: Structural Engineer, specialized in commercial aerospace seatings, automotive crashworthiness. Experience: 5+ years in FEA using Hyperworks, LSDyna, Nastran, Optistruct. If anyone can provide me with some referral and connect with me to recruiters, it would be highly appreciated. #referral #layoff
Thanks for the response. Not any company in particular but looking to work in FEA/CAE/Stress/Crashworthiness domains.
Hey, do you know what the rates are for P2,P3, etc.?
Sorrt, I didn't get you
I use to be part of UTC, now spun off as Carrier
Yeahh I know, Carrier and OTIS spun off
Sorry to hear that. Collins aerospace is doing layoffs?
There were some layoffs announced but no one knew how many or from which groups. It’s all very hush hush (my guess is to keep morale up but really no transparency is worse)
Yes, they started today. Total of 8000 employees in Raytheon Technologies which includes Collins, P&W, intelligence &Space, Missiles and Defense
I also work for collins. How were you notified of your lay off?
Which location? Are you working for commercial or defense?
@mHeP41 my name is Frank Wang, recruiter supporting Amazon Kuiper project(satellite communication). I am interested in your background and please send update resume to weironw@amazon.com at your earliest convenience? talk to you soon.
Hello, lmk if you see anything at Boeing
Thanks for your response, Boeing's all positions has ITAR and I am being foreign national its difficult I guess. Thanks
I see. I’m not 100% sure they’re all ITAR but I guess you’d probably know better than me and a lot of the hiring these days is being done in defense which would be. Good luck on the job hunt!
Not sure if you’re still looking, but take a look at LM reqs and DM me if you find anything.
There are suitable positions for my profile but they need US citizenship for all of them.
What companies are you looking for?
