https://www.bizjournals.com/sanjose/news/2021/06/18/rokus-unusual-policies-leave-workers-confused.html Roku Inc.’s corporate culture has grown more chaotic and confusing as the company has grown, according to a new report. The company has several unusual policies for a Silicon Valley tech company, among them that it doesn't give employees annual performance reviews, according to the report from CNBC. While its policies may have worked when it was a smaller company, more recently, they've left at least of its workers frustrated and confused, according to the report. One former manager, for example, told CNBC they had no idea why they were fired. "It’s the strangest place I’ve ever worked," the manager said.
Very true, every bit of sentences reflect roku bad culture. Benefits are no where comparable to Netflix. All they wanted to suck your blood and fire you.
“One former executive said every job at Roku is like being a “field goal kicker,” where employees are expected to accomplish specific, detailed goals. Some employees thrive under the pressure. If they can’t, they won’t be there long. “We expect you to do a good job,” Wood said. “If you don’t do a good job, you’re going to get fired eventually.”
Sounds like the reporter never worked anywhere to actually have any insights
