So that I understand it right- u need to pay $98 to get a day of faster shipping (things that are fulfilled from stores already come by next day) and to scan your own things (obviously with security systems at the door 😜). Seems will work great if only we can get a customer segment defined who will pay for this. 🀣#e-commerce #retail

And I’ve ordered things from Amazon that shipped from China! Damn amazon what have you done! You’ve reduced your mighty 3rd Party operation to a Private Label Chinese Shit Shop. Most known brands don’t show up in your top searches. All I get it cheap chinese rebranded crap! WTF - you’re basically now an American AliExpress!

I don’t see why there’s so much hype about it. They had 10+ years to do something similar to compete, and sat around farting on the ground.

Ex walmart here. Not until I jump to Amazon did I realize how behind Walmart people are in skills, processes, structure, leadership, and innovation. I have low confidence in the success of this walmart+ program.

35$ min for free shipping is preposterous. I am guilty of ordering < 10$ items on prime on 7 consecutive days. Amazon somehow figures out the most optimal way to deliver.

@tschtscht it's a bit more complicated, as the units per mile are typicallyy better than individuals making a trip to the store. With a retail store the products go to a warehouse, then to a specific store where the customer picks it up and drives back. With amazon it goes from the warehouse to the customer, reducing the total mileage in most instances.
