As a L5 googler, my next promo maybe in 3-4 years... if I'm lucky. Many people never get higher than L5. Would jumping ship to FB for diagonal movement be a stronger career path? i don't want to stagnate... thx.

Just ask you director how many FB E6 engineers has he/she seen coming to Google. My guess is the answer is zero because the number is very small for the whole company :)
