No longer at Lockheed, I was there for an entry level position for 1 year. I’m at a small startup where I work remotely.

I’ve been at this new company 1.5 years and while the work is cool, I’ve decided that I want to start the process to leave. However, that’ll take time because interview prepping, interviewing, etc will take a few months at least. I also want to be more picky this time. When I left Lockheed it was so I could get out of defense ASAP and also relocate (family/partner reasons) which this job allowed me to do. So for all those reasons, it’ll likely be a longer job search. The main reasons I want to leave here are that when I started, I felt like my TC was fair. However, now, I’ve grown exponentially (my manager even agreed) and I wear so many hats. But the raise I got this past July was laughable (less than 3% like wtf). The amount I make right now does not reflect my capabilities. I know looking for a new job is the right thing, HOWEVER I don’t know if it’s worth fighting for more money while I bide my time here.

Tbh this was my gut reaction. My main reservations are that I wonder if it would be too much after I recently got a raise. And tbh I’ve raised the salary issue with my manager NUMEROUS times. His response those times were “we’re doing this performance/raise process now, you’ll get compensated then.” And then it was laughable. So yeah idk if it would be too much. Or potentially raise a red flag to him (and the team) that I’m looking elsewhere

I'm in the same boat. Replace defense with semiconductors, but the same single digit % raises for exponential growth in impact. Tried negotiating for higher base to no avail so I'm leaving. I'd say thats the best use of time!
