Coming from a smaller company, the salary bands are posing a bit of a problem.

Salary bands, OT pay (!?), options/RSUs, bonus, training, coaching, perks, etc. Total package?

at Google, they top out at L5, fwiw. the best ones are worth their weight in gold, and there is a formal mentorship program for senior EAs to cultivate new stock.

@instandidl help me understand where your question is coming from.

@floppybird love that there's a formal mentorship program in place. I hope other companies follow suit. EAs, often self-funding their own trainings/courses/conferences, historically have received little to zero budget for such things from their companies. To be fair, many don't ask. Which brings me full circle and the reason behind my initial post...they're likely not asking for increases despite the impact they have on their Executives, the team, the org, and other stakeholders.

  • You'll get OT as an admin assistant at Google or FB for sure as well as all the other benefits and bonuses as a full time employee. If they bring you in as an "exec assistant" you will likely be offered an annual salary (vs hourly) so you will not make OT. I recommend being hourly. Admins I know who are hourly at Google and FB generally make $100-170k (inclusive of all bonuses, OT pay etc)
