We have just recently moved to Seattle. Thinking of renting a condo on 2nd and Cedar st at Beltown.

The condo is a 1bd and a den with parking going for 2.5k, any suggestions on neighborhood or should I keep looking?

Another option I have found is a 1bd 1den 2ba wiith parking in interbay area for 2.3k, the unit is smaller with no views. Is it a safer neighborhood?

A lady (Amazon tech employee) was hit with a baseball bat by a deranged hobbo in belltown.

She was just minding her business and walking home from work around 6:30pm or so. Many more incidents like this in and around that area.

Would avoid anything south of Denny triangle and lqa.

Belltown is kinda shitty, interbay there is nothing. I recommend Queen Anne, Fremont, Eastlake or North Cap Hill instead.

Interbay is a safer than belltown. Belltown is closer to bars/restaurants in down town. Queen Anne is a nice compromise between both these options. I moved out of belltown because of safety concerns.
