I have given interviews for a Senior Program Manager role in Azure team @ MSFT India (Job location = Bangalore / remote). I'm expecting an offer in the upcoming week.
*I have over 14 years of experience (7 years as SE + 7 years in PM role).
*Current Pay (in INR): base= 35L, bonus=5.5L, equity=NA
*Offer in hand (as a "Director - Product" for a Series-C stage startup in India): base=43.5L, bonus=6.5L, equity= ESOPs, joining/signon bonus = 5L
Does anyone know...
[1] What kind of base/equity/bonus offer I can expect ?
[2] Which level (L63/L64/L65/L66?) I can ask for, considering my 14 yoe ?
[3] Although I was interviewed for 'Senior PM' role, there is another 'Principal Group Program Manager' job (that is also open in the same team) and has identical JD. Can I ask HR/HM to consider me for that 'Principal' role instead?
[4] Any other tips that can help me to negotiate better, would be of great help!

In terms of compensation please understand that it is all about what you currently get and what other offers you have. I had 2 other offers, with 10 yoe I got L63, but because of other offers I got 45 base + 240k stocks (which now is appreciated to 350k) + 15 joining bonus.
My friend with no competing offers and with same yoe got 42 base and 120k stocks.
What you ask is irrelevant, what other offers you have is what will decide your compensation.
You can DM if you want some specific details.
As I mentioned in my original post; the competing offer that I have is 43.5 base + 6.5 variable/perf bonus + 5 joining bonus + ESOPs (5000 to be vested over 4 years!)
If MSFT completely ignores ESOPs, then it might give me a low ball offer (just bettering the remaining numbers 43.5+6.5+5). Yes!? π€
