  • They failed fast. Why's that so shocking? We have endless sprints to run marathons and wonder why failing fast is a problem.

@Google - to VCs, Fast’s fail is by design. They want companies to fail faster in order to reduce further investment into a dying company. Monster rounds are always risky because startups are under enormous pressure to show traction and justify their multiples. Startup founders often spend a ton on marketing up front to show signups as a way to justify future rounds of funding and hiring

The CEO was littered with controversy from the past and had a large array of former colleagues slandering him for prior behavior. (Just Google the CEO)

The company also laid off their entire Nigerian developer team in the past with no notice, around 2019.

In the E-Commerce tech space, their were many critiques on twitter claiming that Fast also had misleading or false data in their case studies as well.

Fast for the most part is a great example of how an egomaniac CEO is able to grift a bunch of VCs by hyping itself up on Twitter and making a lot of hoodies.
