How to not suck at my job?

Jan 1 22 Comments

Not here in Freshworks. Currently in PayPal for 2 months. Been struggling to meet my expectations. Boss told me he is not satisfied. Thats right, I took around a month to write 2000 lines of code. A lot of issues in it as well. I have around 3 YoE but struggling like a fresh grad. What can I do? Not considering jumping again as my resume is the one of a job hopper.

Take time to understand the project and debug it couple of times.

Suffering from same thing but I'm new grad with 5 months of experience at the moment. But I'm always living under a fear that I might get fired. Though my manager always says I'm doing fine, but I can't even focus on work much. Always living under fear, though my manager is very good.

I think you might just have impostor syndrome since your manager is satisfied with your work.

Not sure but I have created only 4-5 PR's in 5 months. I'm working in some very good startup where everyone else is super smart and productive. I'm the only new grad here even though I gets to learn a lot here, I am always feeling bad because I am not able to contribute much.

  • Do courses on Advance JS, it will definitely help, most people including me took JS for granted intially but later on suffered a lot. Trust me understanding things is better than memorizing syntax. There is a science behind madness.
