Yet another COVID-19 Post - Seeking Advice
Recently started at MSFT. WFH since 3/5. I've been mildly sick since 3/7. Today, yesterday night, and 3/8 are there only times I've shown/felt COVID-19 symptoms (not panicking.. yet), with today being the worst that it's been (feels like a chest cold minus no mucus, really fatigued). This week, I've fallen asleep during virtual meetings and have been squeezing in powernaps throughout the day.
I don't drive and have to do most of my own errands since a lot businesses like Target aren't delivering essentials such as paper towels and hand soap. I'm all aboard the stay at home train, but have had no choice but to leave the house to grab essentials. My SO refuses to walk my dog because he pulls and jumps (puppy), so I have to leave my apartment to do it myself.
My questions are:
1. If I'm supposed to self-quarantine, how am I supposed to walk my dog?
2. I just started my role with my new team only 2 weeks ago, should I go on sick leave? Will this heavily/negatively impact my job taking sick leave this early? Will I need a positive test result to do that?
3. How do I get tested? Evergreen Health was the closest testing site to me, but received an email that they are suspending testing because they think it's pointless since there is no cure/vaccine.
4. Mom thinks I shouldn't call the hotline and just stay home to get well, so what should I do if it turns out I do have it? I've literally been on several public busses, MSFT Connector and shuttles, on campus, at NEO, U Village, Alderwood, Downtown Redmond, City Center, Port Townsend, several ferries, etc., over the last few weeks.
I feel shit out of luck. I wouldn't Uber or bus it to a testing site because that would put someone else in jeopardy. Any advice and guidance would be great. K, going back to sleep.

Also, this does not reflect well at all on your SO. If they’re not even willing to walk your dog when you’re sick, what else will they not do, if things were worse? (God forbid). But, probably better to deal with things one at a time, focus on getting healthy again. SO issues can be dealt with afterwards.
No need to hurry back into things, just take it easy and get better.
And please please don’t go out until you’ve been 100% for last several days.
Otherwise you can pass it onto others.
Getting tested might be good idea.
Thank you in advance for considering all the rest of us, and especially the at-risk.
