Layoff is a bad thing. Letting someone go is different altogether, so, let's see how well it is executed.
Why would layoff happen anyway?. Did they hired a bunch of lazy or incompetent individuals? People with neuro degenerative or stml issues?.
100s of people leaving altogether is a long shot as well. Whatever reason may then it be.
If managers are out /(Alex example), their immediate direct reports (or someone below) can too. Makes sense. It would be fairly spread out though.
So, doesn't makes sense. Yeah.
