I am currently a L6 manager in AWS sales in Seattle (2 years exp at AWS, total YoE is 12). GCP reached out for a lateral role and I have an interview scheduled in about 2 weeks. I’m uncertain if I should consider a move to GCP for 2 reasons: 1. While Amazon culture is tough, AWS’s growth is lifting many careers, including mine. 2. Lots of negativity related to Kurian’s reign in GCP sales. I’d rather not deal with crazy re-orgs and political messes, if this is true.
TC not a defining factor in my decision since GCP will meet/ exceed current comp.
Any others who moves from AWS to GCP and can share how things worked out?
