Currently working as contractor at Optum, and manager is trying to convert me as Fulltime remote offer.

Received another offer from jpmc as Associate Software engineer at plano,TX location.

Currently on H1b visa, not filed GC yet.

Current Compensation - 118k
JPMC offered Compensation - 120k + Bonus + 5k relocation
YOE - 5 years

Does anyone know GC policy of optum ?

Which one is better offer?

Jpmc GC process is too slow. I would say if you are keen towards GC in like an year, avoid JPMC

For optum usually they start asap with premium processing. Since your manager is converting you to FTE definitely you are valuable and making impact. Easier and faster way to get I140 than other route.

  Banks in general are garbage when it comes to gc processing but chase employees can talk in more detail.

  check with your manager @optum. The cost to do GC for optum is ridiculous; needs business CIO and CFO to approve. If your manager understands GC process and is ready to sponsor then go for Optum. Ensure you get at least Grade 28 and negotiate a higher salary

JPMC has usually been very good with immigration handling. But as someone else mentioned, really push to have it included in writing or have a copy of the specific policy that states what the recruiter communicated.

Go to Optum if they offer grade 28 with atleast 135k base. GC will happen one way or the other…don’t fret over that. Join JPMC if optum doesn’t offer 135k. You could even try to negotiate with Optum using your JPMC offer.
