Should I just forget about my Amazon application?

I applied for the role of "Software Development Engineer Graduate – 2022" (Berlin) on Feb 3. Almost immediately Amazon sent me OA1 and when I finished that immediately sent OA2.

It's been almost three months since then and I am still "Under consideration". Is there anybody even checking this role/my application? Is this sort of timeline normal? I was considering applying for a newly posted Jr. Software Engineer role in Berlin as well but I don't think it will be even worth my time if I have to wait another three months (or forever) for a response.

Graduated in September with a degree in Comp Sci and have been working at my current company for about 7 months.

  • Yes, the moment you received your second OA, it was a touch and go.
Your second OA had to be perfect in terms of code optimization and code quality. Your explaination had to be spot on.
If you feel you missed out on any one of these, then start applying via other recruiters.
Untill it shows under consideration, you can apply to any number of jobs. Once you get rejected. Then the waiting period will start

How do I reach out to Amazon recruiters?

I constantly hear about people getting messaged by amazon recruiters but I figured that was only a thing if you are in North America/Europe?

    • They will start reaching out if you optimise your linkedin profile well enough and add experience and all.

If they don't , just connect with them on LinkedIn, cold message them

If they don't reply, reach out to current Amazon employees and ask them for referrals.
