Need your help guys..

I am in the industry for 18+ years with solid experience in people and product leadership. My forte is to build a team which is a strong support system for each other.

After working in telecom domain for long, I looked for a company I would love to work with, in some other domain. Amazon stood out for me. I tried few interviews with them in technical program management role. Failed every interview, worked on leadership principles, applied in day to day life. Nothing worked out though. By now I had 3 years of leadership experience and 6 years manager experience including managing managers (from 2008 to 2014). As people leadership is something I love, I prepared very hard for Amazon SDM role. During on-site, I realized I didn't do well on one competency team needed. I had applied for L6. I thought that if I performed well in all other areas, which I think I did, Amazon may consider me for L5. But I was rejected.

It is a deadlock for me. My current role is tech lead, which is not considered for management roles. My management experience is 8 years old, which is invalid apparently. So I am unable to get opportunity to be in management role.

Reaching out to you, to check:
If any of you went through such a deadlock and how did you come out of it.

If anyone here is hiring a manager  and has willingness to be a leader who can offer opportunity for growth if you find my experience interesting and relevant

Thank you everyone.
