If you're interested in uber id say go for it. You can always come to Google later.

Unless you end up in a great team, very likely you'll be bored to death in Google. Or even worse, you might see politics and reorgs and all the big co garbage.

Not to discredit OP here, good job. But has google been more lax with leveling? I’m seeing more people with less than 3 yoe, with L4 offers.

Apple appl3 Jul 31, 2019

Lax? Companies more or less promote to swe 2/l4/e4 after 2 years

Google autoseller Jul 31, 2019

Thats a pretty low L4 offer though. Median is around 260k. A decent offer would be about 290k. All excluding sign on

If you want you career to be at least moderately interesting, pick Uber. Google won’t scratch the itch— unless simply having G on your resume will keep you motivated for years to come. It’s slightly more money, but you’ll be more bored at G.

Total bs

I would hope somebody on the inside would disagree.

As I understand both those offers are around 5% above your current TC . Why move for such a low increase.

perf bonus and refreshers which I forgot to add. Credit Karma has none of these.

BYTON cJKu57 Jul 31, 2019

I didn’t know companies did monthly vesting without the initial 1 year cliff 😳
